eureka world vac

i was just wondering if anyone has ever seen one of these soft bagged world vac with the light on it? I have only seen the mega boss and the blue world vac never seen the soft bagged with the light. I would like to find the hard bag in mint cond and trade some of my vacuums for the blue

this is a very cool add. i love the 1990s line of direct air vacuums from most brands they look soo cool especially the bravos and elites . i have the blue world vac with all the trimmings in great condition however its not for sale or trade took a very long time to find the world vac are the more rare of the bravos copaired to the powerline and other models but keep searching and have faith and you will get one. they are good cleaners but noisy as hell compaired to other bravos for some reason

That's funny. We had a dark green hardbag worldvac just like the one pictured when I was growing up at home. It had lots of problems and we replaced it with another one (still the same problems). It was loud, and after several repairs still always seemed to have electrical, belt, or motor problems. You would smell it and it caught fire a few times. It sat in our closet unused in great condition until this January when it was finally given to Goodwill (and they probably threw it away because it would start smoking as soon as you turned it on).

Unfortunate but true, the Eureka World Vac, as well as the similar Powerline Plus and Bravo! Series did have a number of reliability problems during the 1990s. In 1993, my mother bought a Eureka Bravo! The Boss model 9334AT, which constantly clogged, went through belts like crazy, and had its front wheels fall off every time the pile adjustment settting was changed. By 1996, she.became so disgusted with it that she replaced it with a Hoover Encore Supreme, which proved much more reliable. Furthermore, In Consumer Reports 1996 test of vacuum cleaners the ratings for the Eureka Powerline Plus and Bravo! Series uprights always included the remark, "durability is a worry," which was based not only on Consumers' Union's own inspections but also on letters submitted by readers about those models, which had previously been recommended by Consumer Reports.

Don't misunderstand me, they were handsomely styled machines and the ideas behind them were fine, it's just that the quality of the materials and workmanship left much to be desired.

i did have a powerline for the longest time and i let my aunt use it and when i got it back it was trased and thw white faeded and i tryed to fix it i couldnt do anything and but im not gonna give up until i find a world vac and a powerline

i have three elites i got the dirt finder the legacy and a white elite what i really wanna find is a elite 2 with the slide off top

I remember this ad. There is also a ad just like this with the red canister World Vac in the line-up as well--

i have a plain 7 amp bravo that was my dads that works pretty well and is quiet compared to my world vac those bravos were defiantly hit or miss as far as durability same for the SINGER POWER AMP any body remember those or have comment Bissell made a ton of variations on it such as the awsome looking pure air . and back to the world vac if i remember there was victory world vac also

I also bought a basic, bare bones, bottom-of-the-line Eureka Bravo and really loved the vac!

It had no on-board hose and tools, and was basically a Eureka version of an Oreck with a larger fan and stronger motor. It was dark blue with a royal blue cloth bag, and was a great, lightweight carpet cleaner. Excellent deep carpet cleaning. Enormous size top-fill bag that needed changing only twice per year.

The only thing I did not like about it was the fact that the rubber bumper ended about half-way down the side of the motor head and could easily get caught on corners. Besides that - it was such a simple yet wonderful vac! Can't for the life of me figure out why Eureka dropped this from its line - it would make a great competitor to the new Hoover Platinum lightweight upright.

Too bad I gave it to some friends when I bought my Kenmore Progressive canister....

I remember the world vac like that with a headlight but I never see them these days. Do any of you remember the wide track type version of these?

one on ebay i was looking when i picked up my the boss Self-Propelled i should have got one but i got the boss Self-Propelled i have had my fun with it im looking for something else i dont know what yey i know i got my mind set one the powerline gold box in a aqua color and the box world vac i just gotta keep looking im thinking of getting it
