I have wanted one of these for a long time, and I finally got one pretty cheap, and in good shape. I have always liked the Whirlwind series, and this is just...amazing=]. The self propel is very smooth, and it is a pretty good deep cleaner. I would love to find a bagged one, like the tan Smart Vac one. It is a really neat bagless vacuum, and I love that there is no messy filters to mess with.

does yours have noisy bearings in the motor? almost every eureka whirlwind or bagged smart vac that i have seen or used has really worn out motor bearings. my whirlwind, which i only paid a dollar for is like new and still quiet. that is the only one i have used that does not have worn bearings. i really like yours, and i have never seen a self propelled one before!

I found the same machine on ebay brand new in box for only $30.00 and I have to say I love it. It cleans better then I thought it would. The all around set up of the vac is just great. I was supprised how much it picked up. Mine is pretty quiet. I do have a trick...you might already know it tho. Im big on scents. However I hate to use carpet fresh or anything like that in a bagless vac. So I took a car air freshner (yankee candle, macintosh apple) took the back filter off and just took the string and put it around the filter, put the filter back into the hard case and snaped it back on the vac. Great trick to do on vacs like this one.
