Eureka Victory Hepa Bags

Hi y’all!

I recently purchased a Eureka Powerline Victory style vacuum. Aside from wanting one because I thought they were cool when I was little I needed something with a beater bar for my rug since my straight suction Miele and turbo brush really wasn’t doing much in the high traffic areas. I thought about buying a power head for my Quickstep but I found the eureka at a great price, condition and I think it might be a rare one with the attachment set it came with.

Since I plan to use it regularly, my question is if anyone has tried to use a hepa bag on a Victory style Eureka? Looking at my options I was thinking I could possibly fit a Sebo bag somehow but then I came across a Riccar R25 Bag and It looks similar the Eureka AA bags.

I was hoping someone here would have the Riccar and Eureka that could test out the bag and let me know your thoughts.

They wouldn't fit

I also own a Victory style machine, I've never founded a good substitute bag that was cloth. Same goes for the type U bags since they've both machines have been discontinued long before cloth bags even became popular. Your best shot is to modify the cardboard by cutting out and gluing on from other cloth bags.

The hole on the R25 is too big and the plastic frame would have to be trimmed down. I have both the R25 and the victory and shockingly the victory happens to be one of my favorite machines.

Here are some photos, I don’t recall ever seeing one with both upholstery and dusting tool recessed in the handle usually, even with this handle style, it’s the combination tool which is why I think this one is a rare model. Would love to hear is anyone has one with attachments like this.

I was hoping the R25 bags would be my answer but I think I’ll try arts and crafts method

Yes your only option would be to look for a 3rd party HEPA bag closest in style and dimensions to the OEM bags, and remove and glue on the collar from the OEM bag to replace the one on the HEPA. Or find a fill tube and locking ring that fits over the suction tube and install that to fit whatever bag you need in there.

There is paper HEPA bags availble for this vaccuum on Amazon.

If you want cloth HEPA you are on the right track with the Riccar bags, would just need modification. The Panasonic U-2 bags might work too.

Gabriel - Yes, believe it or not, Paper HEPA bags have existed in the past. Kirby and Royal both had Paper HEPA bags before they introduced Cloth HEPA bags for their uprights. Also, some brands' paper bags actually meet HEPA requirements but aren't referred to as HEPA bags. Case in point - Aerus Electrolux. Their 4 ply and more recent Home Solutions bags meet HEPA H10 levels, 94% @ 0.3 microns.

So yes, such a thing does exist!

I wish Kirby was still selling HEPA paper bags, they were just perfect for me.

That's interesting about the Electrolux/Aerus/Home Solutions bags. I feel better about having used those exclusively in all of my Aerus and 'Luxes thus far. I would be open to trying a HEPA bag in them. But, at least their paper bags are pretty much equivalent.
As I've acquired a few different Oreck vacuums and bags for same, I wonder how theirs compare to HEPA.
The CELOC or "Allergen Filtration" for example.
But, in my bag stash, I also discovered some that don't say HEPA, but they're individually packaged, and they're a thick, grey material that feels almost cloth-like.
These are all Oreck brand.
