Eureka stick vac

I'm posting this in 90s but I'm not sure. But at Goodwill tonight, I saw a yellow Eureka stick vac, I think called Superbroom. What made it interesting to me is it has a brushroll and had the manual. It wasn't that Boss Superlite mini upright, this was just a stick vac with a brush roll. I think they wanted $6 is it worth it? They also had a blue Hoover Convertible with soft bag that's been there a while. It reminds me of the one I used at a vacation lake house we rented as a kid, that I used back in 1994.

When I walked into the store, I thought I saw an orange vacuum out of the corner of my eye. After I got in the store, I heard somebody turn it on and start vacuuming the mat at the door. I immediately knew it was a Kenmore canister from the sound. Of course I had to get a better look at that. But I guess they use a Kenmore canister in the store for the mat cleaning, which I never knew.

Also at Habitat I seen a blue and white Hoover Convertible, with the patterned bag and big rectangular headlight. Not sure the price.

I think I seen the same one at Goodwill last year but didn't realize it had a brushroll.

If you have a need for it, get it. The closest thing they sell today is the Eureka Quick-Up and it sold at retail for about $30 and people bought it like crazy. I wanted one too but waited too long and Walmart discontinued it.

A Hoover Convertible I think is always worth having in a collection - a timeless vacuum that is a great all-rounder. When I first started collecting I made a goal to get a Hoover Convertible. Found one about 6 months later at Restore, the green one from 1978 if I remember, which I guess was the first plastic-based model. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it!

On the Hoover upright at Goodwill, I don't know why I called it a Convertible, I meant Elite. It's the type that has the angled hose end and the hose clips around the soft bag.

The one at Habitat was a real Convertible.

Don't see too many Convertibles around here. A long time ago, like 2012 when I got started collecting, Habitat had two metal base Convertibles. One white/navy with headlight and one gray/neptune blue with no headlight. Then I saw a green Convertible Elite with ranger style hood at another thrift shop. Plus at a yard sale I saw a later no headlight plastic Convertible at a yard sale, but it wasn't in very good condition.
