The vac of the day was the start of it all for me. That was the one that my Mother had until I was six. To this day, the curved wand leading to the floor tool is pure beauty. I know other vacuums had similar ideas for reaching under furniture, but I just think the curves that Eureka had were excellent.
Of course, the suction was pure crap, and the house was never clean--not until I was given the task of vacuuming and a new "sweeper." I adoped the task with gusto and a Lux G (without the power nozzle--that was "too expensive.") For the new shag carpeting, we got a basic Eureka upright that choked on hair pins and filled the house with the smell of burned rubber.
Never heard of a Eureka Prince. Can anyone enlighten me, please?
Thanks,
Jay

i know there was eureka princess and prince canister vacs. from what i have seen the prince was the delux version with a vibrabeat rug tool. tools stored inside the body on a plastic tray over the bag.

Would love to see a picture of this Prince vac.........

I actually decided on the name "Eurekaprince" because I was convinced that even Eureka never used the name on any of their models!

The only Eureka "royalty" names I know the company used were as follows: Princess, Princess II, Crown Princess, Emperor, Empress, Empress II, Imperial (a "watt-based" marketing label)....and that's it.

Anyone have any ads or pics or documents showing the existence of a "Eureka Prince" vac?

I'm not sure.....

sorry for the sideways scan. Could it be the first or second one on this page of models shown for belt size? I think the second may be the Emperor....

Because.....

of the heights? It actually looks like it might be real, given the shading and shadowing. Don't you dig her outfit?

Yeah, I know....

I CANNOT stand in a glass elevator, especially if it is mounted to the outside of a building. The elevator starts spinning for me. Ewwwwwwww....I have to stay away from ledges on balconies, too. So, I understand.

Alan, that's the Sears Tower, although they have changed its name now. I haven't seen it yet but I hear it is fantastic. Terry
