So, I've had my eye on one of these for a while now... (Joe has, too... and wanted a different vacuum for his new apartment. He also loves green.)

I finally decided to grab one while at Target the other night...

Here's Joe opening the box.

Overall verdict....

Nice little machine. Kinda noisey, but very powerful.

Being able to shut the brushroll off is a very nice feature, as is the "dial" (think Dial-A-Matic) to divert suction to the hose, and the telescopic handle. The brushroll is pretty wimpy, and would do best on low-pile carpet. Bagless isn't my thing, but this one is pretty easy to empty.

Anyone else have one of these?

You and Joe will like that Optima. Victor and I each have one and they are very handy. They are perfect for quick clean ups and I too like that you can turn off the brushroll when using the hose. Have fun with it! Marty

I did try one, and I was admittedly impressed! As far as bagless go, its one of the easier ones to maintain, and for such a small machine, it did have good suction!

I purchased the the gray colored model for a friend and she like it as well. It is the one with the fold down handle, basically the same machine.

I also have the bagged version from Sanitair and love it. It is my daily driver along with my Purple Airway.

Sounds like you've lost a vacuum cleaner. I had a girlfriend who 'borrowed' a Kirby Heritage from me in 2014 and almost immediately threw her Oreck in the trash. I never did get my Kirby back.
