I couldn't leave well enough alone and decided to tear into another vacuum before the summer is over and we head back to the Big City.
The vacuum is the standard Eureka/Sanitaire dirty fan layout with the self propelled feature.
This vintage and model sees a lot of plastic, even the on/off foot switch atop the cover. However the bottom plate and brushroll are glorious chrome plated metal as god intended.
It's been some time but it seems i picked this one up at a thrift store, probably on a half off day, so the price was no doubt right.
A quick inspection and test revealed an operational unit with burned out light bulb, a broken belt, and the mandatory F & G bag of cement needing a replacement.
Further inspection showed a rarely used vac that would not need a full tear down, but rather only a partial opening up...hallelujah!
