Hi, ya'll! Long time lurker, first time poster. I must say, I feel honored to be in such great company of other vacuum enthusiasts such as yourselves. I enjoy reading all of your insights and watching some of your videos.

So I recently acquired a Eureka 5060a Self Propelled. You know, the beautiful blue one. Well, the handle seemed to be acting up (I could feel it getting stuck, the button lock wasn't working, etc). I carefully took it apart and noticed that the neutral lock was missing. After a few weeks of hunting, I was able to find one. When it arrived, I couldn't seem to figure out how to add that into the handle when putting it back together. I was able to get the other pieces where they need to go, but for the life of me, cannot get this together in it's final, glorious working order.

Can anyone please lay this fixing out for me? I'm handy, and will feel so silly taking these pieces into the shop. I included the style of the handle in the picture (not the slide lock).

Thanks in advance!
Zac

Hi there!

Welcome! You've come to the right place if you like vacuums!

Unfortunately, I personally have no experience with Eureka self propelled systems, but I'm sure many others here do. I'll give you a bump so those who do know about them can help you! :)

Posting more detailed pictures of the trouble spot(s) may be able to give those who can help you more insight into what is going on.

Good luck!
