Eureka Excalibur, Made in Sweden?

I found this at Goodwill for 15.00, It was still there after a couple of visits so I decided to check it out and was expecting it to say made in china but instead it says made in Sweden, it sounds about the same as an Electrolux, anyone have any info on this machine? I checked out Eureka.com and they still have parts for it. it must not be that old,I've just never seen one. Mark

I remember seeing the Excaliburs at Sears and they were in the J.C.Penney catalog. They were sold in the mid 90's same time as the Eureka Powerlines and I think the excaliburs were the TOL models. There was an upright which I have wanted but cant find.

Remember guys, Electrolux Sweden has owned Eureka (formerly Eureka-Williams) for more than 35 years. No surprise the TOL machine was made in the home country.

This Eureka was actually made by Volta of Sweden....

Volta is another vacuum company owned by Europe's Electrolux. In the late 1980's, 120-volt versions of some suction only Voltas were married to Eureka power nozzles and sold in North America as the Excalibur. They rated really well in Consumer Reports testing in those years. I think the Excalibur canisters ended up in second or third spot in those days.

You can see that the main unit of the Eureka Airmax on the market today is also made by Volta - married to a Eureka power nozzle.

I have Swedish version of this.
It's Volta F1 2110 from early 90's.
Motor is 1200 watts. Bearings need some attention, but otherwise it runs great.
It has a lot of suction and airflow for so old canister.
I have washed all the parts and cleaned the motor.
Volta Mega was next model with slight cosmetic differences.
