Eureka Electrolux Easter egg

I was doing a quick video on a Eureka Electrolux canister and discovered something.
On board tool storage has been glued Shut by the manufacturer. After feeling like an idiot and unable to open the tool door I finally decided to take a screwdriver and pry it loose and noticing the hot glue on the other side and took the heat gun to it. Sure enough there's a spot for a three-in-one tool.
I know you guys are not a fan of my video reviews but here is mine on this canister.

Actually this review was quite good-know NOT to pay a lot for this vacuum.It looks kinda cheap-clacky design.HATE those "all" in one tools got one when I bought a Mighty-Mite sometime ago-threw that tool out and just used tools I have on hand.Like how you discovered the "secret" of the glued shut tool door.Be nice if they put treasure in there!This vacuum should be sold at Target,WalMart,Kohls and so on-NOT at a vac shop.What is it with vacuum makers today-they supply you with those "stumpy" USELESS crevice tools!Kinda funky how the tools intergrate with the hose hand piece.

UltraOne

I don't know about the US-model Electrolux UltraOne, but the EU-model has improved quality from the previous model.
UltraOne has won A LOT of group tests and consumer reports has always rated it in a top three (usually first place). Finnish Consumer test also test durability.

That's very odd indeed. I wonder why they would create a tool storage compartment and then glue it shut. Without having one of these machines to examine, my goes toward some sort of structural rigidity flaw that was alleviated by permanently closing the compartment. Doesn't make a lot of sense, but that's all I've got.

After watching the video second time it became obvious, that this is like messed up EU- version UltraOne (also branded AEG).
I mean glued tool storage in this price range. That is truly bad!!

What is different in the EU-version: (Electrolux UltraOne Quattro)
- different motor & motor controls
- different powerhead (Electrolux Paragon)
- different hose, handle, telescopic pipe
- different nozzles
- made in EU
- tool storage not glued shut

Average price in the EU is 300€ (360$)
I think this price is more realistic for what you get.

I imagine the tool lid was glued shut, in order to prevent complaints from the consumer, along the lines of: "There's no tools in the storage bay! I want my money back!"

3-1 tool and great video

The lid thing, was it this vacuum only? Or is a retailer thing? I am thinking that the one that sold you the vacuum might missplaced the 3-1 tool and then clued the lid.

My first thought of the video was that it was a fair representation of this overpriced vacuum. Yes, it has "made in EU" on the label (if you buy it in EU), but as I have shown in one of my videos and on this site it has a lot of things made in China. Please have a look at the cord, you may find some text (like 50 cm in) with a factory with a China sounding name. The Powerbrush is made in China and most of it's additional extras.

In Sweden Electrolux often win the first place in appliances magazines which makes me think you can buy your place in those tests. Just as videogame makers can buy a place in gaming magazines. Yes, I have one UltraOne myself.

No, I like the honest impression you have in your videos. When firms start sending you vacuums for reviews let me know so I can unsubscribe or stop watching your videos.
