Eureka converter

Are you talking about the F&G Bag converters for the old Kirby units? Pictures would help in reference to what machine you have and what bag you plan on putting on there. Post a picture of the machine and where the bag mounts. Then post a pic of the bag you intend on using. That will help a lot.

Sanitare

Yes, I’m referring to the pan converter. My old church had sanitare and I think there was a set of deluxe tools with it. I see the 60a sets on eBay. The motor has so much air flow I wonder if it’s worth buying a hose.

Just be careful not to get the black pan converter for the Eureka Ultra upright…I think it has a special design that will not fit a classic Dial-a-Nap Sanitaire/Eureka upright.

Converter

There is a 60f commercial eureka tool set on eBay 60.00 it’s a 12 inch pan converter . Do you think this will fit my new sanitare?

Converter

Thanks so much. I’m a bit concerned that airflow will not create good hose suction. Those old f & g eurekas did not work so well with tools. I don’t know if I should risk it since I have a good canister.

It’s not bad

I’ve used one of those converters, and the suction is pretty good. I used it around the house to pick up a lot of things I thought it would have issues with. It does bog down if you’re using it to clean up heavy dirt, like spilled kitty litter, but what machine doesn’t? It should be fairly good, but if you’re doing a lot of high-up cleaning, that’s a challenge because the hose usually doesn’t reach up to the ceiling.

If you already have a canister cleaner, it’s not really worth it to add a tool set to your Sanitaire. The air flow through the hose is okay for light dusting and even cleaning upholstery with a little scrubbing action using the upholstery nozzle. But the airflow would never match that of a good canister designed for “hose cleaning”.
