Eureka "Canned Ham" Vibra-Beat Model 1020

I snagged this one from a private seller. Said it had been rescued from an old lumber yard office that closed. The pictures showed it on a table with a bunch of other stuff, partially hidden. Contacted the lady and checked it out. We had had a bunch of rain and I was worried it was left outside. Found she had put a tarp...You know how water proof those can be, over it. Of course it had gotten a bit wet. The bag was damp and had busted filling the insides with saw dust. I should have kept the old bag for sample. Next I checked all the attachments.....all there except the crevice tool. The dusting brush bristles were matted down and warped. But everything looked relatively okay. She started to wipe it off and wanted to plug it in....stopped her. I explained it would need days to completely dry out at least. Got it at a great price. So now she is clean, waiting for a bag seal, bags and a crevice tool. The bag seal is ordered and now I am looking for a crevice tool in blue.

One more thing, the "Vibra-Beat" plastic logo is damaged, I could use a replacement, but will try to reproduce it. When done, I plan to silver leaf the Eureka, Vibra-Beat and Three Filter logos.

If anyone has bags, I have a bunch of vintage bags and may have one you are looking for.

Hope you can breathe new life into the cleaner...those Vibra-Beat stick-ons are notorious for breaking off in pieces....

Permanent Filters for Vibra-beat

I was reading in a copy of the Eureka 1000 series user's manual that not only did the motor have a paper strip replaceable filter, but a permanent washable filter. Does anyone know what this looked like. I have some filter material and can make one, but want to be sure how it fits.

Clear picture of.....

I am looking for a clear picture of exactly what the Vibra-Beat logo looks/looked like so I can reproduce it. Once this is done, I plan to silver leaf all three followed by a coat of sealant. As for the rest of the machine, I have adapted some S bags, got 4 fair condition bags and am waiting for 3 new bags to arrive.

Since no one responded, I made a permanent filter that will do the trick.

By the way...it looks like one side of the vac in the link says "Vibra-Beat", while the other side says "Triple-Filter."

I did find some bags online, the cardboard is thinner and was glued to an S bag.

I forgot to mention I adapted the S bags by carfully aligning the swing arms, figuring out where the holes needed to go and punched them out with a hand paper punch. I also replaced the swing arm tips with some I found in the shop. I had noticed the ends could possibly puncture the bag, then later saw a picture which had rubber or vinyl tips in place.
