that vacuum is very rare. its not likely you'll find that part. you may want to use a substitute from a newer 70s eureka as a make do given the scarcity of that machine

I think I sold one when I was briefly back on EBay.May have another in attic. If so probably white. Will try to look. Also have complete Eurekas of these types but no extra time to find and add accessories.

Thanks Will and Jimmy....

I really love this machine. I have yet to test the hose to see if it leaks. I just dismantled it yesterday. It will need cleaning.

I already tightened up the cord reel using a technique I found on this site. (Bravo VL!).

I will call you soon.

Will,

Contact me if you are looking for machines or parts. Tell me your wish list. I will be downsizing at some point and you are after all, in Texas.

We may be able to meet half way if we each have something to sell or trade.

Garry

Jimmy?

So you found them and because I did not call, two others called and they are getting the vacuums?

I feel so silly.

At any rate, I decided to replace the switch with a toggle which and be operated with my foot.

fantomfan57,

"One for TX"refers to the switch pedal I am holding for you as your address is listed as "Central Texas".The other will go to a NY collector who called.2 pedals, both NOS & white,1 going to NY,one held for fantomfan57 of Central Texas.

Jimmy....

I wanted to thank you sincerely for helping me refurbish this vacuum. I did not have the metal shaft to hold it in place, but was able to manufacture one and figure out how to keep it in place.

Because of your generosity, I have been helped. THAT is an example of what I hoped and continue to hope, this website is all about.

One last thing, Jimmy, I actually repaired the tool holder that snaps onto the top of this vacuum, buy custom cutting a plastic part from an older Kenmore parts vacuum. I will include a picture later. Not perfect, but works.

Thanks again.

Garry,

Glad to hear it worked well.I should have a few packs of Type O bags, probably genuine, for these when I begin sorting through them.I do have lots of attachments for 60s,70s Eureka and power nozzles for 70s,80s Eurekas.
Jimmy
