The motor is my Eureka 3336A canister has started to make a buzzing sound while running. I'd like to take a look at it, but I can't figure out how to remove the yellow motor cover inside the vacuum. What is causing this sound, and how can I remove the motor cover?

Just figured out how to open the motor. Pull on the metal clips by wedging something in between them and the yellow plastic piece and pulling. Now how do I remove the metal motor cover?

Well....

First take the cleaner apart and remove the motor, its held in by screws on the underside, the fan housing on a lamb motor is in 1 section for 1 fan, 2 sections for dual fan,I think this one is a single fan, so you take the blade of an old knife, catch it on the edge and tap with a hammer, do this all around and it will pop right off, its a pressed fit.
