Hey Ben! Nice ad for the Vactronic!
It's very interesting to see the change in corporate name for Eureka's Canadian division.
Up until Eureka's purchase by Sweden's Electrolux in 1974, all Eurekas sold in Canada were made at the Onward Manufacturing plant in Kitchener, Ontario (about a day's truck drive from headquarters in Bloomington, Illinois).
The 1983 ad for the 1790 Power Team shows that Electrolux opened up a Canadian office in Cambridge, Ontario - closer to Toronto - perhaps because it may have already been home to Canadian Frigidaire which was also bought by Electrolux. By 1983, the Canadian division's name had been changed to Euroclean Canada Incorporated - reflecting the new European connection. Many of us know the Euroclean name by the commercial vacs branded with the name at the time. I think some Sanitaires took on the Euroclean name too, along with some European-made commercial canister vacs.
