I found a eureka today

5.5 A High Perfromance
vibra beat groomer
looks like a hoover

Model 1945 B
model # starts 3767

its navy n white had eureka fng bag

nice condition working on it

sounds good
no belt

Getting it cleaned up

think a hoover belt will fit

brushroll is cool
like the hoover beats has a bar & then bumps

Vibrator for carpets

liked the purr of the motor
quiet
but then the belt wasn't on the brushroll

Anyway another vac to clean
least it uses fng bags

LOL

Hood is metal
odd base is plastic

Did they have alot of shag in 80's?

Nice find. I have the 1945a in my collection with the 5.0 amp motor and same colors and style. It cleans great and could be the best carpet cleaner in my collection. The last thing I need to do to it is get a new belt pulley on it and it should work great.

C ool we both got one

Its no hoover 63but still quite a nice snazzy machine]
Paid $14.99 no tax...

didn't even know the belt was off
it was cleaning fine without it..

OOOh
bag is washed n dryin
plastic preforated kind
one small tear I;ll trry to repair

does a hoover belt fit?

A Hoover belt won't work. It's too small.

I think your going to be supprised by how well it cleans when you get a belt on it. These Eurekas are just amazing on carpets.

It is light

bag attaches with screws
not that convienent
has the f&g tube n spring attah inside
love the brushroll

its a high performance vac
light
Will have to wait til bag dries & I pop on a belt & bag & give her a test run

bet it really beats the carpet

LOL

My feeling is its 1976

Thanks

I'll take a trip to ye vac store & bug em
LOL

I have the old stretched hoover belt from the 63
might try

looks about the same to me
but good to know

I hope they aren't too hard to find

The belt you need should be one of the most common on the market. They are still used on a number of current Eureka models.

The stretched Hoover belt would probably work just fine if you want to try that.
