Well, I bought myself a Eureka 1934B. And it is very surprising and nice that Eureka, would make a classic vacuum like this. Well, on Eureka's website, they don't seem to Advertise an Attachment Set. I contacted Eureka, asked them if they sell Attachment Sets, and they say that the 1934B doesn't use Attachments. Which leads me to believe how do Attachments not work on the vacuum, the Bloody things design is based off their previous FG bag uprights, which had attachments. Do attachments work on these vacuums, I'm pretty sure, but I don't want to shell out 20 Dollars, only to find out they don't fit. I would use my Dirt devil Hand vac for my above floor cleaning but the motor is going bad on it.

I wouldn't recommend using the toolkits they had/have, the vacuum is designed for floor cleaning, and the toolkits never really cleaned at the same efficiency as a regular cannister vac, just as the average cannister vac isn't really that well suited to carpet cleaning, but excels at above-floor cleaning... :)

The toolkits with the rugplate adaptor pan thing do fit though, as you say, it's the same design as they have used for many decades, so little has changed... :)

I agree . . .

The standard tool set that hooks on over the brush chamber may fit but its not worth the expense -- or time. I have had this type of upright and tools and it's not worth the bother.

A lightweight, 60 buck or less straight suction canister would be the better buy.

Upright attachments

The suction power on the Eureka with the converter will probably be the same as your little Dirt Devil hand vac. Personally, I have no problem with the attachment kit for the Hoover Convertible or Eureka Uprights. They have plenty of power for dusting. But I wouldn't recommend it for deep cleaning upholstery. It really depends on your individual situation and the items you are trying to clean.

A standard Eureka upright attachment set will work on your 1934B. Had one myself awhile back. The 1934B uses the same rug plate, so you shouldn't have a problem using the converter.

You need the Eureka Model 60D attachment set - see the eBay item below.

It actually is fine for light dusting - I had a set with my Dial-A-Nap upright which had a weaker motor than your Boss. I even added an extra floor brush and plastic wand which did not do a bad job on floors.

But these tools could never replace a proper canister vac - so much easier to drag around than an upright with a wheeled pan converter....

Just noticed that the tool set being sold in the link above is missing the white upholstery nozzle. That should definitely be part of the set. It should include: hose, hose handle, pan converter, 1 wand, dusting brush, upholstery nozzle and crevice tool.

Funny that you would ask, since I just used mine about 10 minutes ago with my boss 1934A. I use it for dusting my shelves, and cleaning some upholstery. It works pretty good for dusting, and minor above floor cleaning jobs, although I do recommend a canister vac over it any day since the suction isn't the greatest. It works fine for the jobs that I use it for, and I use it with my '78 Eureka as well since it has a bit of a bigger motor in it.

Sorry for the poor quality picture above. Just letting you know it works just like the converter pan on some of the Convertibles, although I'm not quite sure it gets the same amount of suction as them.

Maybe they said that because they don't sell an attachment kit for the 1934B directly. I think they do for the Sanitaires though, which should be the same.

Daniel, I notice your 1934A has a different Boss logo and a black Dial a Nap knob. Yours must be newer than mine.

Mine probably is newer, since I got it this christmas :-) However this attachment kit is older. I bought it from my vac shop last year for my Eureka 2088A, but he said it was an older attachment kit that he has had for quite a while. This should fit any Eureka with the metal bottom plate that I believe is around 12" or so.

Daniel :-)
