Estate Sale Finds

I've been waiting since Wednesday to go to this estate sale, saw the ad on craigslist and couldn't wait! I came mostly for the Compact C2, but I also bought a vintage GE hand mixer. I've been wanting one of these for a long time and I found one in white!

The Compact was $5 and the mixer was $3!

I also have the wands, I don't know if I can get them unstuck....But the hose is pretty flexible and airtight, and it came with these thin crappy tissue paper bags!

And the GE Mixer! I detailed it this afternoon and it looks like it's almost new. Can't wait to test it out tomorrow.

Closer view. I love the design, and it's surprisingly quiet which I also love. I believe these came in yellow, pink, bright red, aqua, white, and olive green. I traded a friend a like new Oreck XL and she said she included a couple of surprises with my Hoover attachments and Constellation. I suspect it's the aqua version of this GE mixer that I've wanted for ever.

And I decided to hand wash the Compacts bag and a TriStar bag. GROSSSSSSS! I did three washes with detergent in total, the first two where nasty and the last one was fairly clear. A good rinsing and now they're drying.

That's a whole lot of pleasure for $8.00! I love the new Compact, and I have quite a few GE mixers, some like yours, one in the box.
