Epic 3000sr light bulb and maintenance

Just got another electrolux..couldn't pass on it with its caddy and all tools .
The epic 3000sr upright.

It's got some strength for the carpet..I kinda want to say it is stronger then my model xxx and ambassador 2.

I just realized the bulb is burnt. How do you remove the bottom part to replace bulb. Also is there any filter that needs to be replaced in the exhaust..I don't see an easy way to it as well.

Is this even a good upright, I mean it sucks like no ones business

lay the machine down flat, there are screws at the base of the head, I believe there are 4-6 screws, remove them, flip the machine over and remove the head. you will have access to the motor, belt, brush roll and headlight.

WHAT HOSE GOES WITH THIS AND SIDEKICK

thanks to @electroluxxxx got the cover off. My Epic 3000 came with no hose and I have a sidekick I just purchased , what hose will I need for the sidekick to function. Electrical?

Two hose options

Electrolux had two hose options to use a Sidekick with their uprights. There was an electrified hose with a pigtail at the machine end and there was also a conversion kit with which one could add a power cord to a non-powered hose. Both hoses have a soft plastic fitting with a pigtail connector at the machine end. My Genesis LXe came with an electrified hose but no accessories and I later acquired a full toolkit for an Electrolux upright that includes this same hose, SideKick, crevice tool, dusting/upholstery brush and wands, all packaged in a plastic caddy curiously reminiscent of the ones used by Kirby for many years.

I lucked up a NOS conversion kit shortly after rescuing my Discovery II from the curb. Unlike later uprights, the Discovery models didn't come factory wired to support a Sidekick, so the kit includes a trapezoidal adapter that plugs in between the power cord and its normal receptacle on the machine to add an auxiliary switched receptacle for the powered hose. The kit also included a replacement grip end for the hose that has a metal tip, a power cord to run the length of the six-foot hose, and some plastic bands to attach the cord to the hose. I think the cord and bands are the same ones used to attach a cord to a non-electrified hose for early 1205 and Model G vacuum cleaners.

Were could i find a cord clip for my discovery II ?? Both snap on mine .
