Hi people, haven't posted in a while because I got fed up of the arguing and bickering but hey, i'll give it another go! recently acquired this incredibly rare Jeyes Hygiene Ensign SDV. I believe in its day, it was quite a popular little commercial vac but they seem non-existent now. This is certainly the only one i've ever seen. They made them from about 1983-1991 and I think it was made by Sebo. It shares a lot of parts from the uprights of the time.

unfortunately it wasn't a power wand model just the standard one, but got a hose and small tools with. need to try and find a cream floor tool now

That is one cool find you have there! I always wondered whether SEBO made commercial powerhead canisters as well as their uprights. And it appears that they did....just not under their own name.

Now what would be REALLY cool is if you could find the optional Power Wand & cord for the hose it requires. Then you would have something super-rare most Collectors would be envious of.

Enjoy your new find! Rob

it is very retro! the original owner purchased it though his company in the 80s to keep their computer room clean. it was replaced in the mid 90s and he kept it to keep his cars clean. Then it ended uo being stuck in the loft for years before he stuck it on ebay and i ended up with it lol

Not sure if it works yet, i've just spent most of the evening cleaning it because its absolutely filthy. Its starting to look good though :D

Great to see this--

--and your previous vacs!We can ignore the 'bickering' but can rarely if ever see much of what you have shown us.Happy Holidays.

synths? just the one at the moment. Unfortunately i'd love to fill my flat with Moog's, ARP's, Rolands etc but I already have one expensive hobby. I'm trying the soft synth route since its a more affordable way of getting the vintage sound hence the Akai controller lol

Even more amazing, a good friend has just told me that he has a spare correct floor tool! this could be the very last or at least the best complete SDV left!

The matching 350 upright that goes with my SDV, there was also a 360 Electronic in the same colour scheme. Need a full set now!
