Sorry, I borrowed the picture....made it look worse. I will take better ones when I am done disinfecting and polishing it.

Finally got one. Has been my dream machine for quite some time.

I am missing a dusting brush, would love to have Canadian bags and would like to know what I can substitute for the exhaust filter material. I think I can come up with and PN from my stock, I do have an elbow with the same type of wand clip I can use from my Electrolux tubs.

I hope that you whittled him on the price because I watched it for about a month. I have a zb89 that’s lacking a few things and seriously considered this one to fill in the gaps. The Canadian Lux models are my new obsession.

Update

So, I had plenty to do. First I had to find a PN, check.
Next I located the correct elbow. Cleaned and painted the PN hood, elbow, roller wheel, suction control valve sleeve and a transition part I fabricated to replace the generic, non-appropriate hose handle.

I had on hand, a can of Italian Olive spray paint, it matched closest.

I am very pleased at the result.

My only concerns are, I do not have an exhaust filter in place, but I think I have one and I will probably need to service the motor and during wind down, there is a short purrrrp, sound.

I understand these are hard to work on compared to the American versions.

I made one to fit from other fitler material and replace my hose bags my 89 runs like new also .

Older

Motors tend to have some wind down noise. Im only referencing my TriStar/compact and royal. There motors have fan housing. The fans have to spin down as if it stopped suddenly it could ruin it.
I noticed on my royal 4150 too has a wind down.
I'm just attributing it to the fans. If it's a little unpleasant that's different but wind down fans worn its not bad.

Antoine, I may have to do the same thing if I don't find that old filter. I have no idea where it came from in the first place. I do know it is/was the correct shape for this machine.

For what you paid, it’s probably worth it in the end to have a fully functional machine. I’ve yet to diagnose mine and I need to source a power nozzle head and outcord. I have the woven straight suction hose with the triggered pistol grip handle. I’ll never understand how integral parts of machines like this go missing.

I only paid 60$ for mine madea custom filter for my lux 89 works out good .

Here are some shots while I stopped to pick up the dog's toy.

Close up snaps are of the hose handle "fabrication" to fit the generic hose I received. The plain handle would not hold wand in place. Handle swivels wonderfully.

I did find the exhaust filter in with my Elux stuff, glad I had it still. It of course is used, full of carbon, I cringe at trying to wash it. At the very least,I have a template for a replacement. Hopefully a box of these will show up on Ebay.

My Eelectrolux zb 89 works like acharm ! I too have the factory filter i might rinse it out too .

Suggestion

I love the green. If you painted from chrome handle for power nozzle to the power nozzle. If you painted it one solid color it may be more aestetically pleasing.
I don't know what the filter looks like but here's an idea. If you have a housing and template for the filter this idea may work.
I have two filters pictured a shop vac filter and a shark filter. There probably would allow too much air or not enough. The shop vac white pleated filter would likely be similar to original filter.
Compact and some cannisters have cloth bags you put vacuum bags in. If you used that material it could work.
I threw slot of ideas hopefully something helps.

The wand...

is original, telescoping in a sort of greenish cream to match the bumpers on this model, I would not want to paint it. If painted, the chrome part would get scratched up.

No, I will keep it as is.
