I wouldn't say that, they are somewhat rare, though not as rare as the better models. They sold quite well initially, though many wound up at the curb years ago with broken impellers and fan housings. When I worked at Woolworth's we sold the Elite 200 for $69.99, sometimes on sale for $59.99 sans tools. I recall thinking how flimsy they were in comparison to the convertibles, but seeing what TTI produces now, how times have changed....

I don't know about other parts of the country, but in New York they are RARE. People would suck up a piece of gravel or a penny, break the fan and out to the curb they went. Later 12 amp Elites are still fairly common, but the early Elites (pre-Elite II), not at all. And I can't even remember the last time I saw a Legacy. I will see an Elite 200 once in a awhile, but the better models (i.e. 350/400/600) almost never. They're not as flimsy as Dirt Devils or Regina Housekeepers, but people used and abused them. And yes, the Innovation is probably the rarest modern Hoover.

You must always remember, something rare to a certain person may be extremely common to another person in another area. It all depends on where you are. I love 1990's Dirt Devils, and those are VERY uncommon to find around here. I may find one a year, and that is not an exaggeration. But to someone all the way across the country, they could be a dime a dozen. It's something you have to keep in mind.

First ones were from 1988? & the last ones in 2003?

btw, I've NEVER seen an Innovation before. How well did the Innovation clean vs. Convertible & Elite? Does the Innovation & early Elite have metal Quadraflex roller instead of the plastic "spiral?"

I have an Innovation and it is a very good cleaner. It uses a very different kind of brushroll with a v belt. I was told that it is the British equivalent to the quadraflex. And none of the early elites ever used a quadraflex brushroll.

I've seen your video on your Innovation. The Innovation seems to have the same brush-roll design as the Conquest. Not sure if they are interchangeable, but they sure look the same.

Some European Turbopowers the same brush roll as well.
