The motor

is now fully back together and it runs very well .I have also refitted the handle .I did try to remove the dents but they are right where the baffle is on the inside and impossible to get at .Peeling the outer cover is also a no no .On a good note the repaired handle feels really solid and stronger than it was .can any of you tell me if its possible to remove the flex rewind meck without springs and things flying all over the place as i want to lubricate it and also clean the casing .Thats it for today guys

Nice going, Anthony. You might consider asking an auto body shop what they'd charge for pulling out the dent. I think they typically take something like a plunger for body dents and make quick work of it.

I once did something similar with a clogged hose after I foolishly vacuumed up a bunch of Christmas tree needles. Using the vac's exhaust and also trying to dislodge it with a wooden dowel were of no help, so I asked my auto tech to clear out the clog with his air compressor. He did. The clog was free and so was the cost.
