Hello, I found this Electrolux ZA 33 industrial vacuum cleaner,I know it was made in sweden for italian market;I'm not able to say when it's from, but I suppose it's from the 40s-50s.The lebel on top says: ZA 33, serie A, serial number 26 01 379, volt 220, watts 425.
Greetings, tommy.
yes, It'very tough and heavy of course. It has also a very interesting filter that can be shaken pushing a button hidden by the top handle grip front hanger. I haven't turned it on yet but It must be very quiet with a 425 watts motor...
I would guess these are pretty rare, I mean come on..a 1950s commercial Electrolux? don't see them often, hell ya don't see a 70s or 80s one that often (I don't anyway).
I posted this pic yesterday but my posting seems to have gone into a cyperspace black hole. Trying again...
This is from a 1952 Canadian Electrolux instruction booklet - the Z55. So, the commercial Z33 model was also sold in Canada and presumably this would be 120v.
I think the hose in the machine shown above is a replacement - look how long the one is in the advertisement.
I'd give my left ... er, eyetooth for one of these!
