Hi everyone,

Does anyone have for sale, or know where I can get exhaust filters and/or attachmeents for an Electrolux model XXX? I've been watching eBay but don't see the filters very often. Any help locating some would be greatly appreciated.

"ELECTROLUX FILTERS / PARTS

Hello Joe:

I can help you with the filters for the XXX as I have a couple to spare and also a black crevice tool, upholstery nozzle, rug tool and floor tool. Let me know what tools you need and we'll go from there. You may contact me: [email protected]

Happy Vacuuming!

Hi Tania

I sent you a message via the Vacuumland message system.

On another note, I'm almost finished restoring my Model 30 and have a question. On the main body of the canister there is a textured covering that has got dust in the texture. How do I get it clean without damaging finish? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Joe

I would use an old toothbrush, or appropriate bristled brush, and some light all purpose cleaner, maybe watered down

Work on a small area at a time, spray the APC and agitate softly with the brush. Firm up if you feel it ban take it. Let the lather soak into the texture then agitate back into a foam.

Wipe off with a nice microfibre towel, loo roll or other soft plush cloth

It may need a few attempts, it may leave a patchy finish depending on how it comes up but its what I would try first

I'm actually in the process of restoring a XXX as well, does anybody have anymore of the exhaust filters available?

FYI, I cleaned the leatherette covering with GOJO hand cleaner, good for cleaning wood, too. Came out pretty good and caused no harm. I used barkeeper's friend on all of the chrome and it looks brand new, put a coat of Mother's car wax/cleaner on for protection after, can't get over the improvement over what it looked like when I rescued from a junk store.

Have you considered cutting filters to size from bulk filter material? You can cut one from A/C Filters, synthetic vacuum bags, etc!

Oh, and thanks for saving that little Electrolux! Mind sharing it's story?
