I just bought this and it arrived today. I really like the metallic blue color! It looks brand new and never used. Does anyone know what time period it would be from?

Guessing the late 1969s. Kirby intake/demother was advertised on the sanitronic models.
The electriluz that has the same color is likely the model it came with.

As to the Electrolux Vaporizer.

It goes back to the model XI (11) 927, and the model XII (12) 1930. But the big change came in December of 1937 with the model XXX (30) known as 'The Dirt Digger.' Then in 1948 there were huge changes. The vaporizer, and spray gun were improved. There were also the new attachments holder, called the 'Companion,' so the tools could ride piggy-back. The Garment-air bag, Cord winder, and the air-powered polisher. Joining the line were the updated dusting brush, and floor brush, both with white bristles for delicate surfaces like lampshades. These tools, and attachments were also used with the model LX in 1952, with only the color of the trim changed to a blue gray, and the spray gun in black.

Each of these tools can be found on Ebay, so you can have the complete set.

I've done extensive research in the Electrolux Corporation. Most of the designs were done by Gustave E. Lofgren, head of the engineering department, and he introduced Hammertone blue in 1952.

1952-1956

The hammertone blue vaporizers were used on all 1952-1956 models. In 1957 the model AF was introduced and the vaporizer color was changed to a creamy white which matched the model AF front and back end colors. Prior to 1952 the vaporizer was a mirrored chromed finish.

Sprayer.

Actually, that was introduced with the model LX, as shown in the pic of the inside cover of the instruction book. Why the black Bakelite I'll never know. Stands out like a sore thumb. What was Gustave E. Lofgren, and his engineers at Electrolux thinking?

Cans of floor cleaner, wax, and so on.

The model shown on the cans in the instruction book is the model XX (20) which was introduced just before WW11 to replace the model XXX (30) but after the war, Electrolux scrapped it, and went back to the XXX. The model XX is shown on the second shelf from the top, right side.
