Re: Reply #24

I found out that the Model B-9/Floor Beautifier was made in two colors: 2-Tone Gray to match the Model 1505/Silverado and gray Model 1453/Deluxe Special and Sand/Jade (that went with the featured manual cover) to match the Model 1521/Diamond Jubilee and the sand/jade Model 1453/Deluxe Special.

So the featured manual would have been printed circa 1984-85.

(Other Olympia One manual covers in this thread: #18 (1980) and #55 (I'm now thinking 1978 due to the Olympics Logo on its cover):

Yep,,that proves it! I once asked an old old Electrolux salesman who had been selling at least 50 years, what was meant by Electrolux "DELUXE" vacuum cleaner. He said the "Deluxe" means WITH POWER NOZZLE.

Evidently left over term from the days of the Model A/E and forward where the PN was an optional attachment and was sold seperate from the machine,,and the PN, and/or PN hose didnt come in the same box.

I remember a lady down the street from us in the early 1970s that had a 1205 with no PN. Just the standard hose, wands and flip over floor/rug tool.

I remember thinking that was odd. Didnt understand they probablly couldnt afford the PN and PN hose.

Re: Reply No. 7

First, the tan Model G was introduced in 1966. Some NOS aqua ones may still have been sold in the beginning of 1967.

Second, there was at least one change to the cover of the tan Model's user guide, because the wand was changed. The first style matched the one used with the aqua Model G, which had the metal top. The second style had a plastic top, which was also used on the first iteration of the Model 1205.

I am reposting the first version that you posted in reply 7 for easier comparison with the second version. I'm not sure when the change was made, because the copyright on the inside hadn't been changed since the 1964 edition of the aqua Model G's manual cover.
