Again?Another perfect Elux?!--

--Is the Delorean time machine now in your garage?!?!
Just kidding and happy you found them.
I think both DJs are early models.I had almost forgotten the tall sham box.Later models had handle folded forward and leaned back for flatter box as on B-8s.Splash guard was redesigned to stay on base without falling off.Does yours have the permanently attached suds shield? This was a cost savings that made it harder to clean and the removable shield was brought back.
The DJ vac is probably the hardest to find without dents, scratches, stains on original paint.Again probably early as there is no clip on rear of handle for short crevice tool.

They’re beautiful! As a hardcore Aerus Electrolux fan myself, I’m glad to see a few of these beauties in such good shape! My personal favorite Electrolux is tied between the Model G and Model 30.

@ Jimmy : Heyyyy :-) LOL ....the delorean time machine...lol :-)...boy I wish! How are you? Thanks for the kudos Jimmy. I got reassigned to an assignment in Texas. I will call you over the weekend. I would like to know if you still have that special filter? I hope your doing well

@ Adin : Thanks so much for the kudos

Terrific twins, Keith! You may want to consider opening your own museum, because you have such a growing collection of vintage surface cleaners in great shape with all their original tools and even some cartons! (Do you have the corresponding user manuals?)

In case you or others are unaware of Electrolux Corp's use of the term 'deluxe', it began in the 1960s with the Model G in describing a vacuum cleaner that was equipped with a power nozzle. It was retired along with the 'Silverado Deluxe' 1505. From the mid-1970s to the early-1980s it was used to indicate shampooers that came with both the scrubbing and shampooing components when most customers had frequent need of both functions. Before that time, the shampooing components were optional and the scrubbing ones were standard. About the time the B-9 was launched in 1983 to the current time the reverse has been the case. I would think that would be changing again at some point as many customers are opting for hard flooring over carpeting.

Regarding the DJ decals, they were only used during 1984 (EC's 60th jubilee year). The later vacuum cleaners had no decal, and the shampooers had a decal in the same cursive font which read, 'Floor Beautifier'.

Interestingly, there was a lack of communication between the Canadian manufacturing plant and the American printing division in the 1980s, because the nameplates identify the model as '1522' while the manuals refer to the model as 'B-9' (The Canadians typically assigned similar model numbers for their vacuum cleaners and shampooer/polishers, while the Americans at the time had maintained the alphanumeric B-series modeling for the triple brush cleaners and changed vacuum cleaner model formats over the years).

The DJ twin cleaners' color names are 'light sand gray' and 'jade'.

Congrats, man, and happy 2019!

P.S. Don't you also have a CB2000 in light sand gray and jade? How about the matching-colored Rug Washer, the upright model 1451E, the Deluxe Special Model 1453, the Discovery II (1500, 1500C or 1572E), or Discovery Plus 1572E? Power nozzles colored and labeled for the set included the light sand gray PN5 (1521 & 1453); the jade PN6 (1521 & 1453); the jade 6A (1623 & 2100) with the grid label; the light sand gray 6B (1623) & 7B (2100) with the grid label and the light sand gray 5C, 6BC & 7BC (3-wire).

P.P.S. If you want to go the whole 9 yards in obtaining the entire light sand gray & jade color line, don't forget the plastic (Canadian-style) cleaners of that era: the Hi-Tech 2100, the L-E 1623, the Trivac 2102, and the Shampooer-Polisher 2101.

@ Paul : Thanks so much for the kind words Paul and taking me down Electrolux history lane !!!! Like wow...you share so much vaulable information! I do have the rug washer , but not the Special ( step down canister) CB2000 , or the upright. I do have the the fraternal twin to this machine pictured below. Take care and would be great to speak to you sometimes! Happy New Year :-)
