Called in at my local Goodwill this afternoon, and found an Electrolux Trivac 2102. The machine was completely new to me, as I had never seen one before. Tried the vac in the store and it sounded good, checked the bag (looked new), and decided that while not abused, the vac does need to have a Magic Eraser taken to it.
I was prepared to make this post in order to ask all sorts of questions about the vac's age, why it was made in Canada, and the availability of bags - then I did a search of the forum and found all of the information that I need to know.
I have been looking for a nice bagged broom vac for quick dashes through the kitchen, so am pretty pleased with my purchase. Not only are bags still available, but the machine feels solid, not flimsy. Not bad for $2.99.
Oh, one question though: Trivac - I can figure out two configurations of this vacuum: as an upright broom vacuum, and as a hand vac with the handle removed. Is there a third configuration that I am just not getting, hence the moniker Trivac?
Thanks,
Joe
