Id like to share the enthusiasm but sadly the Gtech is better - there's no cord, so less of a hassel to keep plugging in and out - plus the UK models ALWAYS have around 4.5 metres of length which is useless for you in your large home.

There is a cordless version of the Eureka/Electrolux Quick-Up, though.

Here is a little YouTube video of a review of the Eureka Quick-Up cordless vac! I have always cleaned out the dust cup using the hose of a regular vacuum to keep the filter clean.

It is a very, very convenient little vac for quick pick ups of surface litter!

What a handy review but that material filter looks like it would be messy cleaning everything off.

ive given up on stick vacs as none of them are any good.would you count the dyson dc24 as a stick vac? its absolutly tiny, i'd love one!

I would Call the DC24 a mini upright, I hate my DC25 its so boring, even the ball is too, the DC07 is better

Infact the more I think about it, the more "mini" the Vax Mach Air & associated Hoover Windtunnel Air are similar in capacity to stick vacuums, similar cord length if they are mains powered. Could these models from TTI thus be termed as stick vacuums since the Dyson DC24 is of similar size?

Well, the vax Mach air is somewhere inbetween. Not as small as the dc24 but not as big as, say a dyson dc33.

Well I dont know where you get your info from, but the Dyson DC24 measures 110cm height by 34.9cm width with the Vax Mach Air being 112cm by 33.5cm width. The Vax is only that little bit taller. I know lol i seen it in currys and the dc24 is light, im suprised the vax is 0.01 lighter!

The Vax is also substantially cheaper to buy as well!
