Hi folks!
Well, i was at a mini-meet last weekend and I got an Electrolux Super J (bad armature) from the vacuum shop my buddy works at (im starting there soon!). I pulled the motor and now its only a display vacuum. what did the side nametag/bumper look like? im trying to clean it up and the colors wore off the side
more updates later today!
Thanks!
Andy Rousonelos

Mine's highlighted in black, both the lettering and the border around it.

The Super J is a nice machine. Hope you can find a new motor for it.

The 1205 motor is smaller and less powerful but it would fit. My favorite daily drivers are my Olympia one and Silverado . I do have a turquoise and bronze model g . The model g motor is the same size as the 1205 motor . Personally I prefer the larger motor it makes vacuuming go faster.

Well, i have...im afraid to count how many Electrolux's. It was worth 5 bucks. im not sure if im going to rebuild it or not. i bought it intending to use it for display. For 5 bucks it was worth it

Updates on my Collection

Up First the Electrolux XXX. paid 20 bucks for this, a hoover elite and a TON of attachments. All my attachments and power nozzles will be later

Re: Super J_Model 1401

The Super J was the king of the Electrolux "forest" with its lion-like gold color and motor "roar". As shag carpet became more popular Electrolux execs knew that cleaning required super fierce airflow (by that era's standards). Indeed, it made its predecessor, the 1205 Jubilee, analogical to Morris the Cat (the 9lives cat food mascot in commercials beginning in 1968). It was sold from October 1975 to April 1979. Hopefully you'll be able to either repair or replace your Super J's motor. It was/is one of Electrolux's finest mid-century cleaners.
