Yesterday when I went home for lunch my *sweet* little kitties had got in one of my plants and made a mess, So i got my Renaissance to clean up the dirt right quick. Well I didnt unplug it when I left the house and when dan got home the vacuum was on, running on low... so when i got home i plugged it back in and it did not come on untill I turned it on but when I try to turn it off it stays on... what the heck is happening!!! lol

That sounds to me like the switch is at fault.  Something inside has gotten loose so the contacts don't line up correctly.  I've never used a Renaissance but have had similiar experience with other machines.

There is a circuit board inside the canister that controls the motor, in cooperation with the electronics in the hose handle. Either could cause a control issue if faulty. See if you are able to select other motor speeds and cleaning modes on the handle.
