This same power nozzle is used on many newer Electrolux canisters. I purchased mine ( Electrolux Oxygen 3 Ultra model 7020B ) for $540 with the electric powered hand tool ( optional at the time ), and it has had very light use and sits in a spare closet with my suits and dress shirts where nothing rests against it. I have probably used this Electrolux twenty times since I have other cleaners. I mainly bought this vacuum to reach under beds at the time, but probably will not use to reach under furniture after I replace the elbow.

Be careful how you use and store.......

.......as it did not take much stress to cause this elbow to break. It was carefully lowered to reach under furniture without force, and stored with the telescoping wand lowered attached to the hose. I think it is best to unatach the hose and store the power nozzle and wand in a full upright position without any forward lean on the wand and elbow to prevent a fracture. Hope this helps others. :)

'Electrolux' repair

This is just a small sample of what happens when a customer walks through Lowes and Sears and remembers that grandmother & aunt & neighbor had Elux for years with no problems and takes the Euro version home with no understanding that 'Grandmas' Elux is now Aerus.Even with careful use the elbo and wands and hose and controls can give trouble. It is a good vac and worthy of a modern collection but it is not a Model G or one of the other 'greats'.

Thanks Curtis :)

I appreciate that. Might work glued, but would rather make sure with a new elbow. Looking forward to using the power nozzle again. :)

Modern plastic vacs are pits

I work at a Tuesday Morning store and we got a few of those in a couple of years ago. About one in three came back within a few weeks, similarly damaged. Per corporate policy, we refunded the customers' money and pitched them into the dumpster. The only part on my Electrolux 1205 that has broken is the handle at the wand end of the hose. Guess what? It's plastic--just about the only plastic on the whole machine. I've got it held together with nylon cable ties until the replacement I ordered on eBay arrives. Vacuum cleaners should be made out of metal.

I have the same power nozzle attachment kit for my Beam central vacuum. I have had to replace the telescoping wand due to the locking mechanism failing. I don't know a lot about vacuums so I did a couple of searches on this website to see what everyone thought the best power nozzle is. I'm going to place an order for a Wessel-Werk EBK360 central vacuum attachment kit. It looks to be of better quality than the Beam Q attachment kit.
