Hi all, unsure if this is the right spot to ask, but I'm wondering how common the Olympia Ones are "in the wild". My grandma had one, which I had hoped to get, and I've been trying to find one since for a daily driver.
Thanks in advance,
Gene

They're out there...

Yeah, they're about as common as pretty much any other vintage Electrolux. That said, finding a good one at a decent price involves a certain amount patience persistence and pure dumb luck. It's sort of like fishing.

I've seen plenty of them on eBay but only one at a local thrift shop. They wanted more for it than I was willing to pay but it still sold within a week so somebody apparently thought it was a good deal.

At least around here, Electrolux Discovery II/Epic/Genesis/etc. style uprights seem to show up more frequently at thrift shops than do the canisters; in fact, the only other two I've ever seen at local thrifts--a 1205 with all its accessories and a Diamond J with a PN5 and aftermarket hose--both of which I now own.

I have never seen an Electrolux in the wild all my time collecting until I found my Epic 3000 SR last month.

I have however seen Olympia Ones on eBay about 5 times this year alone for good prices (under $50). I own one myself already also from my nan so I don;t need another.
