A few years ago a mouse chewed on the cord to my Olympia One in several spots and after cutting away the bad cord and splicing it back together, I now have a very short cord. I've decided to replace the cord, but I don't know how long it should be.

Can anyone tell me what the original length of the Olympia One cord should be?

Olympia cord

Above is probably right.I do not memorize every spec on vacs and cordwinder cord length is determined by amount of cord reel can hold.Replacement cords are available or can be used from 1205-UltraLux part donor.Elux winders prove to be the most dependable and easy to work on if you understand--CAUTION,the cw spring can hurt you!! If you remove cw cover hold plug and unwind to take all tension off spring. This is not a difficult repair if you have some skills. After cord change wind 3 times to tighten spring & replace cover making sure locking pawl is up.Good luck.
