Can I test my Electrolux model xxx in any way so that I can know how it performs right now, as compared to performance when it was new?

(I have added a new after-filter, a new collection bag and improved the seal between the tank and the top that removes for cleaning)

Thanks for any ideas!

electrolux model xxx

Can anyone respond to my question of performance of my machine? Thanks alot.

Hi Russ, I think the problem here might be that know one may know how it performed when new.  As far as how it does now you could always invest in a gauge that test for suction power.  Just my thoughts.

With a fresh filter, gaskets and bag, and if the motor is in tip top shape (bearing, carbon brushes etc) I would say your XXX should be running as well as when it was new.   If you could track down the original technical specs (inches of water lift, etc) that the XXX was rated at when new then you would have something to compare to when measuring how much suction it has now.

Hi!

I have a model XXX, model AF, model G,75 anniversary, 1421 and 1521. The XXX has only slightly less suction.
Are you satisfied with the suction?
Is the hose tight?
I guess, without gauges and so on that is the best guide you can use.
Treasure that XXX, treat with care and give it a good home. :)

As a point of reference...

My XXX pulls between 54 and 55 inches of 'vacuum' (water lift) My previous daily driver which also ran really well but only pulled 50 inches though they both had the same (later, larger) motor. Based on years of having and testing them, this appears to be about as good as I've found and I would venture to say this might be about what the machines (535 watt) pulled when new.

Yes, treat them well and they will last and last and last. AND, they are a thing of beauty, for certain!
