Electrolux Model R Original attachment colors

With the first Model R, introduced while the Model F was current, the combination attachments were the same as the Model F (gray and white).
When the Model G came out, the Model R's attachments were changed to the same color as the Model G (dark turquoise and white).
The hose, however, with both versions was different. It was white with gray and turquoise stripes spaced about 1" apart.
The Model R was sold from 1959 through 1962, then the first Model L (white with dark turquoise trim) came out. Then the tan L in 1967, the dark turquoise L in 1968 (lower-tier model to the 1205) and the (hideous!) gold L in 1974 (lower-tier model to the Golden Jubilee & Super-J).
When the Model G came out, the Model R's attachments were changed to the same color as the Model G (dark turquoise and white).

Thanks for the information, Charles. I am guessing that there is no way of telling if my machine is an earlier or later version. If so, please advise.
As far as the hoses of the Model R, I will also take for granted that the earlier ones matched the AF hoses and the later ones had the same tracer colors but different patterns. I believe I read about both on your website!

All the Model Rs had the same hose. This photo shows the hose. It's not the best photo, but I don't have any others at hand.

Did the first of the R's offer the AF PN-1, or did they only use the G PN-1?

I appreciate the clarification regarding the Model R hose.
Four more questions for you:
1) Is the hose white or gray? I received one and it looks gray (with the same tracer colors)--wondering if your flash made it appear more white? That leads to question 2...
2) Is there a way to clean woven hoses (taking for granted that the one I have is dirty)?
3) Did the later Model Ss use the same hose as the Rs? Were the attachments the same colors in said machines?
4) Did manufacture of the Ss end in 1959 with the beginning of the Rs?

I don't know about the Model R's first power nozzle. It would stand to reason that the F version would have been the one sold with the R since the G wasn't even out yet.

The R hose is off-white, not brilliant white but a light ivory color.
I have tried various ways to clean woven hoses. None have been really successful since the problem usually isn't that they're dirty but that the colors have degraded over the years. For example, with most E-Automatic hoses, the background color tends to take on a greenish cast. I am old enough to remember back when I was a toddler and the E-A was a fairly new machine. The hose was definitely dark gray with dark turquoise chevron-shaped tracing. None of my E-A hoses have fully retained the original color but some are less greenish than others.
The Model S did not ever use an R hose. The colors would be wrong for that model. The first S had a hose that was robin's egg blue with light gray chevron tracing, picking up the two colors of the machine. The later hose was of the same colors but the tracing was closely-spaced pairs.
I do not know exactly when manufacturing of the S ended. It would make sense that actually manufacturing of that model was ceased just before the R was commenced.

Here's a Model R hose on eBay. It's pretty torn up but at least you can see the correct colors.

Thanks for the info. The R hose that I have definitely has a gray cast to it, so it must be like some of the E-A hoses you have. I'm glad to know that it's not just dirty. I had my doubts anyway, because it is so uniform in appearance.
Another question I have is whether an end can be reattached to a F hose. Sadly, I received the hose with the end missing and the hose frayed.
Speaking of hoses did all versions of the E/E-A have the same hose and other attachments?
FYI...I am in the process of trying to complete original sets of attachments for my Model R, tan Model G, a model E-A (waiting to purchase a machine), a model F (waiting to purchase a machine), and white Model L, and an aqua G; so I need the information beforehand.
