LX

I believe Kenkart is right because machine only has LX behind the word model stamped on it.

Also, the true LXI has a permanent rear axle with wheels attached to the rear of the runners (not the clip-on wheels as seen above), a permanent swiveling caster in the front end where the "wrapper storage" compartment used to be, and a flip-open cord winder like the E, E-A and early F.

The LXI could also be fitted with a chrome halo instead of a cord winder. The LXI is a rare bird on any count, and I've only ever seen one LXI with the halo, so that style obviously is even rarer!

Also note the ejection control knob on this LXI in the photos below: It must have been the first version of this control, since the later LXIs and all the LXs I've seen retrofitted with the control has had a clear plastic ribbed knob in same style as the E-A, F and G. This version is made of aluminum, is smaller in diameter than the plastic knob, and is set inside a circular faceplate.

Joe, one of the things Electrolux salesmen would offer to hard-sell customers was to sell them upgrades to their cleaners including new hoses, cords, attachments etc., and power nozzle retrofit. I've seen Models LX/LXI, E, E-A, S, and early F with power nozzle ports. Never seen an XXX but that's not to say it was never done!

The first models to officially have the power nozzle were the late Model F and Model R.
