I have a model G that has a slow retracting cord. Can anyone give me advice on how to fix? Does the cord real just need lubricating? If so with what? Also, how do you remove the cord real?

Thanks!

I recently had the same issue with mine. An Aerus dealer tightened the spring, and it works great now (a local vacuum store should be able to do this, too). Another idea that has been around since the 1950s is to wipe down the cord to get any grime off; then sprinkle and rub in with baby or talcum powder which is a dry lubricant.
