Hi Keither,

They say the Hospital G is one of the quietest vacuums Electrolux ever made, even more so than the regular G which was pretty quiet too. Curious if you've had a chance to compare the two and notice any difference. Nice purchase! Always a treat for the viewers.

James - The Hospital G definitely wouldn't be classed as a HEPA Filter grade vacuum, but it definitely would be one of the highest filtering Elux's built before the Guardian came out. Along with the 2100/LE, Canadian 83/86/88/89, American Automatic models before the L and G, XXX and the Canadian equivalent models. Remember this is after all just a large fiberglass filter. However, it definitely would have been state of the art filtration in the 60s and 70s. Really, only Filter Queen would have been it's closest rival for filtration.

Keither - Beautiful Hospital G there! I would suggest keeping those Elux bags and filters intact and save them for show. They are part of the vacuum's history. If you actually want to use the vacuum, use Electrolux Style C HEPA Cloth bags in it, and cut a exhaust filter from a Miele U upright bag. You should be able to get 3 to 4 filters from 1 bag, and the HEPA Cloth "fluffy polypropylene" material would filter just as well as the fiberglass filters if not even better.
