Electrolux Model B-8 (& Others) Tips

Wow, so much to learn here. I have never once seen any of the equipment or techniques discussed in this thread and wouldn't begin to know how to shampoo my own carpet. I always hire it out. Just amazing stuff at this site. My feeble brain cell can barely absorb it all.

Thanks, Tom. Glad to hear from you again. It's been a while.

DT, you should consider beginning a scrubber/shampooers collection. The dry foam method of Aerus (Electrolux--since 1957--prior to that they were imported from Sweden for about 10 years) and the Kirby Shampoo System (since 1947 or thereabouts) along with others--while not meant for deep cleaning and heavy stain removal--are wonderful for monthly floor care maintenance and light stains. Beyond that are the design models and colors that are fun to compare and collect just like vacuum cleaners.

Searching the Vacuumland archives will net you even more varied and detailed information than this thread.

Heh, heh, heh, my fiancée is already dismayed by the vacuum collection and it is small indeed by Vacuumland standards. A real starter set.
