Hello everyone--

My dear mom had an awesome Electrolux 30 in perfect working condition. I thought it was from the 30's, however, I see these were made into the 50's so I do not know the exact vintage. It looks like the model in the picture (from the web), with the attachments riding aboard on spring clips. Unfortunately, as she began to lose her memory she traded this beauty to a guy at a repair shop for some random upright. All I have left are the parts shown: Two floor attachments, a small dust attachment, and two extender tubes. I would gladly give these parts to anyone who restores or collects Electrolux, and is willing to reimburse me for the shipping. I can't bear to throw them in the recycling.

Eric,

Thank you for wanting to save those pieces from destruction. They're not making any more of them. I don't have an Electrolux that old (wish I did) so I have no immediate need of them but I'm sure somebody here will take you up on your kind offer.

It should be noted...

That all of these parts not only will fit most Electrolux canister models made since but also fit today’s Aerus Electrolux Lux classic model. Also, since Electrolux attachments are the standard 1 1/4 “ size, they will fit many brands using the same size. Your set has the nice heavy duty stainless steel wands.

Just some FYI in case anyone likes these and wonders what they might fit.

With today’s plastic vacuums with plastic attachments these would surely be a nice upgrade from those as well. I can’t tell you how many newer Electrolux models I’ve seen with some of these metal attachments mixed in. People really like them. My sister even remarked how she really likes them when were discussing vacuums and that I had the XXX and pulled it out to show her for reminiscing’s sake.

Too bad you don’t have the tool caddy that fits on top of the machine. I’m looking for one. I have my Grandmother’s XXX and she didn’t opt for the tool caddy feature when she bought it so I don’t have that with mine but think it would be nice to add to keep everything on board with it.

It may take some time as not everyone checks in frequently here so perhaps “update” your thread periodically if it ends up too far down and it will come up at the top of the list to be seen again. And finally, If no luck here...there’s always ebay and there’s so many options now that you don’t have to list as an auction.

You may also wish to post this to the supermarket page on this web site.

Re: Detroitdirtbag

Hi--
I don't see a way here to reply directly to individual posts. The tubes are 20.5 inches long. They are chrome steel, not aluminum. I don't see any cracks in them and it would take a helluva fight to crack one. In the best case I would like to find a collector who needs these as a set, and keep them together. However, if nobody responds in a couple of weeks I would be glad to send you one tube for the postage. As suggested by Jon I will repost this on the supermarket page.
