Where is a good place to get the metal based caster wheel that swivels on the front of the metal body canisters. Vacuum land had them but they are no longer available
If this is what you mean, I wasn't sure these wheels were available, so I decided to buy a generic wheel mounted on a swivel, drilled the rivet out and put the generic wheel on my ZB89. I'm satisfied with the result.
I would have preferred a green wheel, but black is ok.
If you're looking for a front wheel for a 1205 or newer metal canister, you can find what you need at Lowe's. They come in a two-pack for $4.97. I put one on my Silverado about a week ago and it works great. The top plate doesn't have quite the perfect dimensions but it will go on without modification. The wide side is slightly shorter than the Electrolux version and the narrower side is slightly wider, making the whole thing more nearly square. But if you put one screw in loosely, you can rotate the plate slightly so the other screw hole will line up but the plate will be slightly cockeyed and the locator pins on the corners opposite the two with screws won't line up with the corresponding holes on the plate (see photo). I was temporarily tempted to drill out the holes a bit so they'd line up better, but in the end, I determined there wasn't enough material there to make it work. Despite the imperfect installation, its plenty secure if you torque the screws down tight. You could always use a couple of lock washers for extra peace of mind, if you want.
