There is currently a Model LX Electrolux brochure on eBay that ends in six hours and has not received any bids. For those who may not have seen this brochure, it's gorgeous! Every page contains hand-rendered, full-color illustrations, and the first page has a full-color "beauty shot" photo of the machine and all the accessories. (See samples below.) It is without a doubt the most luxurious instruction manual I have ever seen for any vacuum cleaner! It would be a shame if no one picked it up and the seller tossed it into the trash thinking it was worthless.

I love the brochure artwork for products in the '50s and most of the '60s, it really made the buyer feel special that their vacuum, range, fridge, hi-fi, or car was classy and a wise choice to boot. I posted a notice for a brochure pertaining to a central vacuum system, the lady of the house is wearing a ballerina length strapless formal, white gloves, and three inch heels.

Oh heck, says I, I'll toss a low bid at it and maybe just maybe I'll win it.

So I did, and I did. I guess no one other than Charles and I are so Electrolux dazed to agree that this kind of paper documentation has value...

Dave, never pass up a chance to acquire an Owner's Manual for Every Machine. LOL

It's called ephemera Dave... ephemera.. remember that now. I'll be quizzing you later LOL

Charles, I have the cover of that manual as my screen cover at work. It dose bring some questions at Chase, along with
it's exchange of my Kirby with all the previous models lined
up!
It's even better when I were my VCCC tee shirt(sometimes)
on casual Fridays.
