This Is by Electrolux L Nozzle upright I got this for $10 at the thrift store and it worked perfectly I don’t even have to replace the belt because it’s a lifetime belt $10 was an absolute steal and I couldn’t of been happier and the trim is just right, it matches my red carpet perfectly

You absolutely stole that one...

Those are great vacuum cleaners and that is one super clean machine. You got an absolute bargain at $10. I've never seen one with burgundy trim like that. What model is it? The cord configuration and lack of a bag status indicator suggests it's a variant of the original Discovery II from around 1986. You should get many years of good service out of that one. I would definitely add a hose and attachments. I believe it would have come with a crevice tool and a combo upholstery/dusting brush. You can also add a SideKick adapter kit that will allow you to electrify the hose and use it with a Sidekick handheld power nozzle. You might also try it with a turbo brush. Those machines were never offered with one, but I think it would work reasonably well.

haha thanks so much!

i know right? as soon as i saw it not even in 3 seconds i grabbed it immediatly to check out at the register, i mumbled to myself "yea im defienetly getting this" as my heart was racing because of this find. i am working on getting the attachment kit for it, but not with the electrified hose though, this is my first l nozzle upright. and the model ill be able to give to you even though theres no sticker for it, the model is 1572E i found it from this thread https://www.vacuumland.org/cgi-bin/TD/TD-VIEWTHREAD.cgi?27523 thanks for your response and input, im defiently taking good care of this one til i die, same goes with my collection too

Rebadged Discovery II

I just checked my Discovery II and it also is a model 1572E. My guess is your 'Special Edition' was sold through an alternative channel (i.e., not door-to-door). Sometimes Electrolux would sell variants of certain models through retail stores such as Sam's Club.

My Discovery II is an early version and like yours, it lacks the bag status indicator on the top of the bag door. My Discovery Plus (Discovery II with onboard tool storage) and Genesis LXe both have this feature. One interesting feature yours has is a rotating plastic top cleat for the cord, which my Genesis has but neither of my Discovery machines has. They both have a stationary metal top cleat that's spot welded to the handle, right below the plastic grip.

Take good care of that machine. I would dare say it's pretty much of a rarity.
