A few years back, Ken Wagman gave me one of the "jar" sprayers to complete my Electrolux LX. I really never used it, but I am wondering, can I use it to spray the shampoo water mix I use in my B8 shampooed in it? I would love to shampoo the seats in my pickup, they are showing their age.
Experts, your thoughts?

A shampoo & water mix isn't going to harm your Electrolux Jar.

If you're concerned, or just want to keep the jar pristine, use a regular $1 Trigger Spray Bottle with your mixture in it.

An aerosol foam shampoo which dries into crystals in 1/2Hr might be safer? I'd be more concerned about the shampoo taking the colour out of your truck's seats or carpet. Or excess water causing a damp musty smell, if it doesn't dry fast enough. It's very easy to get areas wet, then you're unable to access them well-enough for drying afterwards. Unless you're removing the seats?

That's exactly how Electrolux shampooing was originally designed in the 1920s with Nuvo Shampoo (see page 40 of the 1952 or 1954 Model LX users manual).

That practice gave way to using the Turbotool's Rug Washer attachment with Turbo Shampoo—both introduced in 1958 or 1959 (I have the 1957 and 1959 Turbotool user guides; not sure if there was a 1958 edition); followed by the Carpet Beautifier component of the Model B-8 triple brush Floor Polisher & Scrubber in 1965 (same year as Kirby's Rug Renovator debut).
