I have an Electrolux HPR aka diamond jubilee for sale. its complete and has all the tools except for the two metal wands as far as I'm aware of. The powernozzle does work, and the belt on it looks fairly new. This has been cleaned and serviced. There are a few paint chips on the canister part, the cord reel works pretty good, and it comes with an aftermarket?? quick sweep attachment. If anyone is interested, I would like at least $100 for it. I'll throw in a sander kit for a lux 1205 for an extra $25. Its similar to Kirby's handi butler. Contact me by email at [email protected] or reply to this thread. Thanks.

High Performance Rebuilt
Looks good and complete. The replacement hose should work well. These were from about 1985 and could be any from a Super J to Silverado rebuilt to new condition and repainted to match the Diamond Jubilee. There should be a metal nameplate on side.It would have been packed with the same all new hose, power nozzle and attachments(2 aluminum wands noted as missing above)as the DJ or last Special.(But not the Sidekick.)
Most Elux branches had very few rebuilts in stock as they sold lots of other new models making this a rare one. This was also the last factory rebuilt and only one with its own and different name.

Thanks for the info rugsucker. I have it on my local craigslist for $150. So I'm hoping to get that out of it but my friend told me not to take less than $100 for it.

Like Jimmy said, it's not "aka the diamond jubilee". The DJ had two different and distinct switch buttons. The replacement hose type on your machine is OK, the original style is easier to work with. I am not sure what "sander" you are speaking of, but the 1205 had only 2 optional tools and a 'sander' wasn't one of them.

dysonman1,

The 1205 had a sand. I own one. I'll show pics of it if you want? You connect one end to the hose of the lux and the other to the sander. Its kinda like Kirby's turbo sander. It says Electrolux AOL over the box and has a pic of a 1205 on then box.

Sander???

The only vibrating sander I know of for later Electroux was sold in US in mid 80s and was from Europe with DJ picture on box.It was similar but larger than Kirbys and also vacuumed up sanding dust.(I will have one on EBay next week.)The Turbo Tool from 50s rotated and did not pick up dust. Please add pictures.
Good luck with selling the HPR.Someone should want to clean with a belt that does not slip, slide & strech and leaves the dirt in a 4 layer self sealing bag that can be changed in about 3 seconds without seeing, touching or breathing dust!

Shazam!

How cool is that? I sold the Olympias and the Silverados new and have I don't know how many Luxes in my collection, but that's the first one I've ever seen or heard of.

TurboTool

That is the one from AB Electrolux that I thought it would be.Works well on any suction hose with little if anything to give trouble. In the mid 80s US Electrolux branches added this, the TriVac electric broom type from Canada and rechargable LittlLux(I had 1 on EBay recently if any noticed.)These were usualy sold as a 'T'trade as the rug washer was. That is if the customer bought a new Elux for $XX and the 'T' item for $Y the $Y amount would be subtracted from the total giving the customer a free and useful extra.

The "model 1205 on the box" is what threw me off. It's a Diamond Jubilee on the box. I know of those. Being an Electrolux historian, it would be VERY rare indeed to find a sander attachment that came with the model 1205 - so rare it would be unheard of. That's why I questioned it.
