I have a pricing rule for vacuums too - but I will break it if the vacuum in question is worth it depending on what it is, the condition, what's included, etc. etc.

This one was worth it. If you tried to buy this same vacuum this complete on eBay it would likely be over $200.

Nice catch...

I'd say you did alright on that one, considering it's complete and in good shape. While I have seen--and bought--several Kirbys at thrift stores with complete accessory kits, but I've never seen an Electrolux--canister or upright--that way. They usually come with maybe just the hose, maybe a wand and power nozzle or flippy floor tool. Accumulating those other pieces adds up quickly. Paying a bit more for the complete package is always worth it. And hey, if you decide that machine isn't to your liking, you can always eBay it for a tidy profit. Definite score and definitely nice of the lady at the store to point it out to you.

That’sa fantastic find. It’s looks to be in excellent shape and has a lot of kit with it. Certainly worth the asking price! Happy vacuuming!

Score!

For that price….definitely a win. Just a full box of genuine bags alone is worth the money. I’d have bought it too without hesitation.

To renew the machine you may wish to get a new brush fir the power nozzle if it doesn’t pull itself forward. The bristles wear over time.

Aerus can pull the history on the unit for you if you give them the serial number. This way if it’s had service and for what…they’ll be able to tell you. Also they should be able to give you the date it went into service to the original owner.

I’ve gotten several units this way. Almost all have not had anything wrong with them or simply needed a hose if it was the old braided type that would eventually leak from the inside material breaking down.

Enjoy! Jon
