Electrolux CB Find!

Last week, found a CB at a Goodwill auction. Super looking shape, very clean. I checked the auction book to find the opening bid was $20. I put down a bid and Won!

This machine is in great shape, very clean. I have lightly cleaned and checked over the the motor unit. I will check it out more today. I will load some pictures this week.

Does anyone know what the attachments look like and does anyone have a scan or copy of the User's Manual?

CB attachments--

--were mostly the same as household models from the same time.The hose was a longer standard vinyl and would have strap on cord if Power Nozzle was used.PN would be almost same but with 3 wire cord.There were wider rug and floor nozzles that could be used on CB(or other).The CB user could add same wands,above floor attachment,rug/floor tool and crevice depending on the jobs and area they had.
(I will have several CBs that will be part of a storage unit clean out soon along with commercial/industrial vacs and Kirbys.I hope spring and not summer.More later & separately.)

I appreciate the information. Do you happen to have any User's Manuals or scans of the manual?

After repairing the cord plug and pushing the reset on the PN, it works wonderfully.

So far I found, the wall plug has been replaced, the PN to hose plug (original configuration or not) is a big yellow replacement. No attachments or wands. I am sure I have a set.

What is cool is a new, factory sealed, genuine Electrolux bags (blue).

I am thinking of keeping it, but may sell it. I found out at GW, a guy came by after the auction, recognized it as vintage and wanted to buy it. They did not allow him to break the rules.

Those are awesome vacuums and work well in a commercial setting. They were especially good in churches. Upright don't work well at all in most church settings. The pews are generally to close together and the long hose and power-mate worked very well.

I used that exact model for years at a bank I worked for. The vacuum came from the local catholic church. They replaced it with a Hoover Conquest which died shortly after they purchased it. The women hated it because it didn't fit and they had to dust mop between the pews, with the commercial lux they just switched from the bare floor tool to the power-head. The Hoover didn't have any tools so they bought a cheap Kenmore canister for above the floor cleaning...the women finally convinced them to buy another Lux. They ended up with the commercial plastic version and I believe they are still using it today.

I think the one at the bank is still going strong, we had the motor rebuilt and a new power-head put on in the late 90's.

Congratulations! That's a nice-looking one. What is the model of the power nozzle? I'm wondering if is different than PN-1 because of the 3-wire cord.

I love tank style vacuums especially the larger ones. One day when I find a way to get things from the USA to SA at a reasonable cost one of these will be high on my list.

Was it for dry vacuum only ? I dont see a shutt off float for it ?

CBs

Nice looking CB.Much better than average.Might have been in a church or small office.(You might not want some I've seen from diners or car dealer clean up.)The bags should be the filter with elastic edge to place under cloth filter.
GSHEEN-The early CBs had an optional wet pick up float ball kit.Later dry only.Also had painted tank(rare today)with stainless optional.

I had a truvox vacuum from the late 80's which looked very similar.
Wish I had a picture to show of it.

Mine is for dry only, I did not get the adapter for wet pick up.

What I decided to do is it use it exclusively in the garage. I stripped the cord and straps from the hose and wrapped up the PN to store.

I will put on a floor tool.
