Picked this up from an otherwise boring car boot in Northampton earlier. Works very well, and had a new bag in so I ran it round my girlfriends dads (who we are visiting)

They use a dustbuster thing as their main vac, so I quarter filled the bag. I had forgotten how much I hate plastic tubes!

anyone got any info on it? Its not in my 1993 service book

The Bolero is one of several from around 1996 and later. This one is essentially the old Electrolux Microlite Z1620, in of course a different colour scheme and with a 1300w motor. Only the original Microlite -model 1610- was ever sold in the original colour post-1996; the other models were sold as Samba, Tango, and Bolero, despite the original 1800 series still being sold in the "Classic" and "Chic" styling, the latter name also being used in the very end on the same cleaner as you have pictured here. Presumably, had the Mondo range not taken over, we could have seen also a foxtrot, seven veils, and time-warp. These cleaners may have been exclusive to Currys and / or Comet, I cannot recall as there was so much to choose from in the Electrolux range back then.

Metal poles

Yes, that is correct. Also the Samba as I remember it also had electronic power control. These were all budget cleaners, but as I am sure you know, many a budget cleaner had extra features.

That looks like a good buy.

I share your feelings about plastic extention tubes. In the last few weeks one of my JMB SC1056's tubes snapped at the end when I was vacuuming a rug.

The higher spec Electrolux cylinders came with a telescopic metal extention tube I believe, like my 2000 Tango.

It works better in our flat on the flat close pile carpet, but caution is exercised with every use! Cleaned a computer out with it yesterday.

Will be up for sale after a refurb, its not my sort of think to keep.

On eBay I presume?

I may bid depending on my financial situation at that time. I do like an Electrolux cylinder.

Yep, probably ebay

Although if you're interested, drop me an email! Would save having to list it!

Want to overhaul it first, and dig through the boxes of spares in the garage and see if I have any bags and filters for it first. Took some more pictures yesterday, will get them up later when work gets a bit quieter!
